Sam Hamilton
Since 2009, Sam has been at the forefront of road-rail herbicide operations, building a strong reputation within the specialised field of vegetation management. As WA Operations Manager, Sam oversees daily operations across Western Australia, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of vegetation control services. With deep route knowledge and extensive road-rail competencies, Sam is skilled in identifying and resolving complex vegetation issues across a wide range of networks. Sam holds comprehensive safe working qualifications across WA, VIC, and SA, and has successfully delivered operations for major clients including Rio Tinto, arc Infrastructure, PTA, FMG, Karara Mining Limited, Aurizon, Pacific National, DPTI, V/Line, ARTC, and Melbourne Metro Trains. Sam’s leadership in the West continues to drive high standards in safety, reliability, and service delivery for the team and clients alike.

Aaron Piggott
Aaron commenced work with RI Track Spray in 2014 and was trained alongside qualified personnel to gain the necessary experience to operate across various rail networks throughout the eastern states of Australia, including Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and the Northern Territory. Based in Echuca, Aaron is known for his excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic, which continue to underpin his performance and leadership.
He coordinates all works across the eastern states and plays an integral role in the planning and delivery of services. Aaron works across the V/Line, ARTC, Aurizon, and MTM networks and is a highly valued member of the RI Track Spray team.
Aaron currently serves as the Operations Manager for Victoria.

Lee Phillips
Lee recently returned to Victoria after gaining further rail experience in Western Australia, where he was the leading hand for on rail herbicide applications throughout the John Holland maintained freight and grain networks covering in excess of 5,000 kms. Lee’s involvement in WA also saw him undertake duties on behalf of BHP and Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) in the far north of this huge state which has over 2,500 km of standard gauge in operation to transport iron ore onto the massive ships bound for China and other destinations. With over eight consecutive years of herbicide applications throughout Victoria and SA, Lee continues to develop his training credentials and experience and will draw on that vast knowledge to continue to make a sound contribution to our specialised workforce.

Kevin Baulch
Kevin joined our specialist team in late 2013, bringing with him a wealth of hands-on experience from his years as a vegetation control technician with Downer EDI, where he worked across both rail and road operations. His background made him a great fit for our team from day one.
Kevin’s detailed route knowledge, particularly across the Victorian and South Australian rail networks, combined with his safeworking certifications, has made him a key contributor to our operations. His familiarity with the network allows him to work efficiently and safely across a wide range of locations and conditions.
He continues to build on his already strong skill set by expanding his knowledge in the field of horticulture, showing a real commitment to both personal and professional development. Kevin’s calm and reliable approach makes him a valued member of the crew, and his experience out in the field is a real asset to the team.

Jimmy Carr
Jimmy has now stepped into a leadership role within our teams, and his field experience has become a highly valuable asset to RI Track Spray. Over the past year, he has steadily increased his training, qualifications, and on-ground knowledge, positioning himself as a key contributor to current operations and a major part of RI Track Spray’s future works. He has gained the necessary certifications to continue advancing his technical skills, bringing him in line with some of our most experienced team members. Jimmy has continued to build on his technician qualifications, route knowledge, and site familiarity, while also extending his reach into operations across Western Australia, Victoria, and South Australia. Combined with his horticultural background, Jimmy’s broadening expertise and steady leadership have made him a reliable and respected member of the team. His progress reflects both personal dedication and a strong alignment with RI Track Spray’s values, and we look forward to his continued impact across the business.

Jason Henderson
Since joining RI Track Spray in January 2018, Jason has become a highly experienced and valued member of our operations team. With over a decade of experience in the rail industry across Western Australia, Victoria, and South Australia, Jason brings a wealth of knowledge in safeworking, risk assessments, and vegetation control along rail corridors. Throughout his career, Jason has worked with major rail operators including Arc Infrastructure, PTA, Rio Tinto, BHP, Aurizon, FMG, Karara Mining Limited, V/Line, Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), ARTC, DPTI SA, and Pacific National. His strong understanding of operational requirements across multiple networks and states has made him a versatile and dependable operator. Jason continues to expand his route knowledge and maintain a high level of competency across the regions he services. He has also undertaken horticultural studies, including weed control and native plant identification, further enhancing his expertise in vegetation management.
Grant Youens
Kingsley (Grant) joined the RI Track Spray team in 2020. Grant has extensive experience in weed spraying across Western Australia and works primarily with our WA operations team.He provides specialist support services for remote locations, ensuring our teams can operate efficiently in challenging environments. As a highly experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver, Grant plays a crucial role in maintaining the supply of herbicide and water to our field crews—an essential part of keeping operations running smoothly in remote and regional areas.
Kylie Henderson
Kylie joined RI Track Spray (Previously GTE Track Spray) in November 2020 replacing the previous admin staff in the Echuca Office. Learning the role quickly, she has transformed the administrative team into its current format. While she is concentrating on other parts of the business currently, she is still hands on in the Finance and Administration tasks. Kylie has continued to learn the intricacies of the rail network and is currently focusing on our compliance, auditing, and IMS systems. We look forward to seeing what she has instore for this part of the business.
Danny Williams
Danny joined our operations in Western Australia in October 2021 and has been steadily building his skills and experience ever since. Since coming on board, Danny has continued to develop his technician qualifications, expand his route knowledge, and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of environments. His growth has been consistent and well-rounded, making him a dependable and capable part of the team. In addition to his work in WA, Danny has branched out to support operations in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and the Northern Territory. His willingness to travel and adapt across multiple states and regions demonstrates both versatility and dedication. With a background in horticulture, Danny brings valuable knowledge to the field, which he continues to apply in his day-to-day work. His steady progress, strong work ethic, and team-first attitude have made him a reliable and respected member of our crew.
Peter Russell
Pete Russell has been a valued member of the RI Track Spray team for over three years. Bringing with him prior industry experience, Pete has shown remarkable growth during his time with us and has become a key leader in our on-track operations, particularly across Western Australia.
His dedication, reliability, and willingness to support his team have made him a standout team member. Pete consistently goes above and beyond, always stepping up where needed and leading by example. As he continues to expand his knowledge and take on new challenges, including safe working practices across different rail networks, Pete is steadily building his profile within the company. Keith Hutcheon
We’re pleased to welcome Keith as one of the newest members of our team. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the rail industry, with particular expertise in safeworking and track operations. Keith has extensive route knowledge and a strong background in safeworking across multiple networks, including V/Line and ARTC. His practical understanding of these systems will be a significant asset to our operations as we continue to grow and take on new challenges across various regions. Cory Connell
Cory joined the RI Track Spray team in 2025 and is a valued member of our support operations, working primarily across the WA rail network. He plays an important role in providing support driving services to remote and regional locations, ensuring our on and off track teams have reliable access to herbicide, water, and essential equipment. His contribution is critical to the smooth delivery of our weed control operations. Cory continues to gain valuable experience in the field, and we are committed to supporting his development into higher-qualified roles over time. This growth will not only benefit Cory’s professional journey but also strengthen the capability and flexibility of our business moving forward.
